One day, a mysterious phenomenon occurs where all the monsters in the game become increasingly powerful and harbour otherwise unheard of abilities. Along with this, players are unable to make any progress with their characters. Naturally, these occurrences render The World rather unplayable, so a player who goes by the name of Kite decides to get to the bottom of it.

Each episode of .hack//Liminality was released with one of the original 4 .hack games and deals with events in the real world during the events of the games.

.hack//Sign follows the story about Tsukasa being mind-trapped into the game. Despite being a "fantasy quest type adventure", it does not rely on action sequences. Instead, the show is driven by mystery, slowly revealing its secrets to the viewer while paying much attention to the individual characters. Questions like what happened to Tsukasa in the real world, who he really is and why he is unable to log out are driving points of the story.

Description:
Tokyo has sunk into the ocean, along with most of the world, during a large-scale land subsidence. Aika Sumeragi is a salvager who works for a small company run by a father and daughter tandem. Alas, the company isn't exactly successful, and money is needed desperately. Thus, Aika accepts the very dangerous job of acquiring an artifact called Lagu for a hefty sum. The boss' daughter Aida Rion joins Aika on this particular mission, and the two set off.

Later on, Aika and Rion are captured by Rudolf Hagen -- an effeminate but over-sexed man who wants Lagu and Aika (and just about every pretty girl) for himself. Hargen commands a huge battleship manned exclusively by droves of cute girls in mini-skirts (the source for what is often called "fan service"). Alongside Hargen is his obsessive sister Neena, who is jealous of Aika, as well as another salvager named Gust, who's also after Lagu and has a crush on Aika as well. When Aika's special bustierre is activated, she becomes a "superwoman" who can take on whole armies by herself.

Plot Summary: Minami “Ikki” Itsuki, is a student and a delinquent. Ayashi no Ceres is about a girl named Aya Mikage who leads the life of a normal high school student until she turns 16. On her 16th birthday, her own family tries to kill her and imprisons her twin brother Aki. Aya later finds out that she possesses the blood of the "tennyo" (heavenly maiden), and when severely shaken she will transform into Ceres. If left to live, she is destined to bring ruin upon the Mikage family.

The story deals with Aya's struggle to fight with her destiny and rid herself of Ceres so she can once again become a normal teenage girl. She must avoid numerous attempts on her life made by her grandfather and other members of the Mikage family, as well as find a way to win her brother back his freedom.

Helping her is Suzumi Aogiri, a woman who also possesses tennyo blood, and Suzumi's brother-in-law Yuuhi, a boy Aya's age who is assigned to protect Aya. Working in the background is Aya's cousin Kagami who, keeping it a secret from the grandfather, tells the Mikage family's henchman Tooya not to kill Aya but to keep an eye on her and find out more about her powers as tennyo and Ceres.

He finally gets a break though, as he’s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc…only his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries that were hired to steal it. “Rock” (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc “Revy” as she thinks he’s worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc turns out to be more trouble than its worth, and complicates things both for Rock, and the mercenaries known as Black Lagoon.

The series is initially set in present day (September 2005) Okinawa City (Koza), on Okinawa Island, near the US Kadena Air Base. In the course of the series, Saya visits locations across the world, fighting enemy chiropteran and searching for her origins.

Hideki Motosuwa, a prep school student, desperately wants to buy a Persocon but cannot afford to. One day he finds a Persocon that has been thrown away and decides to keep it. When he turns on the Persocon, all she can say is "Chii" so he decides to name her that. After a while it starts to become apparent that Chii is more than an average Persocon. Having much better performance, it seems that Chii might be a "Chobit", a type of advanced Persocon rumoured to have independent thought.

In the future, society has a MAJOR population problem. The cause is the Mega-Playboy, men who are totally irresistible to women, due to their genes. One Mega-Playboy can make 100 women pregnant and the boys also become Mega-Playboys. Karin is an agent sent to the past to find the first Mega-Playboy and stop him with a special bullet. Karin, who dreams of having her very own "Sweet Home" (a rarity in the overcrowded future) finds the original Mega-Playboy, a young man named Junta. Junta has a problem; he throws up at anything even REMOTELY sexual, you do NOT want to be around if he glimpses a girl`s panties! Perplexed, Karin shoots him anyway, then finds out she shot him with the wrong bullet! The drug inside of the bullet turns Junta into a Mega-Playboy and back. Now Karin has to figure out how to get out of the mess that she created, or else she won`t get her sweet home! Other players in this chaos are Ami, a girl that Junta grew up with (and the only one he doesn`t get sick around), Tomoko, first victim of Junta`s Mega-Playboy powers and Ryuuji, the jealous boyfriend. Not to mention the hordes of girls who swoon when Junta powers up, including Karin.

In a near future, following a devastating war, a dozen international corporations have come to control the world. One of them, Ashurum, specializes in handling a new class of psychics that has arisen. Though feared by the general populace, psychics have a safe home in Ahsurum, where they can develop their abilities and assist Ashurum in helping other psychics... or dealing with those who become a threat to the general populace. Or so they claim.

One such young psychic, a teenage boy named Kai, has lived at Ashurum all of his life along with his sickly sister Hikaru. He joins the AESES, the agent operations branch of Ashurum, out of gratitude for Ashurumâ€™s support of him and his sister, but eventually he discovers that his sheltered life has left him quite naive about how the world really works. A gentle soul at heart, Kai has trouble understanding how much common citizens fear and hate both his kind and his organization until confronted with it on missions. He also cannot comprehend the ruthlessness of Shen-Lon, a fellow AESES psychic, until catastrophe strikes.

Meanwhile, a streetwise young man named Yuuki plies his services for a guerilla organization led by a powerful precognitive psychic. Plot Summary: When Makoto Mizuhara discovers an old monument in his school and awakens a beautiful woman, he, his teacher, his worst enemy and one of his female friends is transported to the magnificent world of El Hazard. There they discovers that they have received some special powers. Makoto and his teacher Fujisawa lands in a jungle and saves a princess from some large bugs. Makotos friend Nanami lands in a desert. And Makotos rival, Jinnai lands in the middle of the bugrum kingdom and becomes their general, plotting to destroy Makoto and his new friends. After several having his attacks repelled by Makoto several times, Jinnai learns about an ultimate weapon, the demon Ifurita. And so everyone sets of to find Ifurita, and when she's found Makoto learns that she is the same woman that sent them to El Hazard. But the one gaining control of her is Jinnai.
